Luckydog Essentia and Curios is
operated out of Royersford, PA by Katie Lightcap, owner and entrepreneur, and
Jason Peterson, co-owner and head of order fulfillment. We upcycle,
repurpose, refinish and recycle! We hate throwing things away. Period.
I, Katie, majored in Graphic
Design and Fine Art, and specialize in making useful arts and crafts
that can be incorporated into everyday life. I almost never make the
same thing twice and my favorite medium is collage and decoupage. I also
make all of the soaps and scrubs.
Jason
manages inventory, online sales and designs and builds almost all of
the tile coasters and all of the tile tables. We both also have full
time jobs, but are very proud to be able to say that in the past year
Luckydog has improved and grown to full blown part time jobs for both of
us.
For
this year's Fun A Day, I will be making at least one art tile each day,
using mixed media to create clever and humorous fully functional
coasters. We will display these along with our normal tile inventory and
everything will be available for purchase at the show.
